I was in Fort Wayne doing research. I found a series of books on Shelby County, Ohio that are transcriptions of birth records from 1867 - 1908.

I found listings for 7 or 8 of John & Catherine's children:
1) Ida M. b 05 Dec 1889;
2) George C, b 20 Dec 1888
3) Nicholas, b 15 July 1886
4) Maggie, b 21 Aug 1895
5) Wm. H, b 19 Aug 1902
6) not named (Mary Pauline), b 25 May 1904
7) Clarence B, b 21 Oct 1908
