Received an e-mail today from fellow researcher Steve. He is also a descendant of George & Mary Marchal. And has pictures of their family that I haven't seen before. We're going to collaborate on the family - he's going to collect pictures and I'm going to do the paper research and update the website.

While I was in Fort Wayne doing genealogy research, I found a book called "Newspaper Deaths 1931 - 1940" by Mr. Robert Knief. In it was an obituary listing for Joseph D. Monnin, son of John George Monnin and Marie Ann Chevre. Also in the same book was an obituary listing for Joseph's wife, Mary Catherine Simon Monnin.

While at a genealogy conference in Fort Wayne, I found a book with new information in it. It is called "Shelby County Ohio Board of Equalization 1846-1870" by Verna Taglieber. It lists people who came before the board and complained about the valuation of their lands.

Page 10 - was listed I.H.B. Rotterman (JBH Raterman) and Bernard Tille (Bernard Pille), both of whom it looks like complained and then had more value added to their assessment. (But I could be reading the information incorrectly).

Today I happened across the Lauterbur Family Blog and group of websites. It's very nice. I ran across Doug L's page with his Lauterbur family photos. http://www.lauterbur.com/pub/homepage.aspx?id=8

It looks like he's got pics of Nicholas and Anna Lauterbur. I e-mailed him to ask some clarifying questions and ask for higher resolution pictures.
