While at a genealogy conference in Fort Wayne, I found a book with new information in it. It is called "Shelby County Ohio Board of Equalization 1846-1870" by Verna Taglieber. It lists people who came before the board and complained about the valuation of their lands.

Page 10 - was listed I.H.B. Rotterman (JBH Raterman) and Bernard Tille (Bernard Pille), both of whom it looks like complained and then had more value added to their assessment. (But I could be reading the information incorrectly).
